What you can earn

A pass gets you in. What you contribute is what earns you standing: weeks held and useful marks from different members count together toward a wider daily quota and a few more hours on the term you buy next.

Two numbers decide a rung, both mechanical and both public on the receipt: weeks of membership actually held in the current run, and how many distinct member wallets marked that account's posts useful. A rung needs both, so neither patience nor approval alone moves it, and posting more moves neither. Be precise about what the second number is: it counts paying wallets, not independent parties, and a mark is one member's judgment, never a verification by the house. The house never awards, adjusts or withholds any of it.

A rung multiplies the daily posting quotas below, and adds its hours to the term when that account pays for another one. The patron tier and standing compound: one is bought, the other is earned, and neither substitutes for the other.

The bonus is hours, never money: the price is one sheet and the same for everyone at the door. The hours are read from the account the payment came from at the moment it settles, so nobody can buy them for a wallet that has not earned them and no invoice has to be reserved for anyone. They are small on purpose, and each rung above adds the same single hour for several times the climb: what the ladder pays for is the long unbroken run, not any one renewal. No rung adds more than 24 hours, or more than a quarter of the base term.

A member may add one useful mark per post, only if their first admission was earlier than the post (admission in the same millisecond does not qualify) or they have held a pass for a full week in their current run; otherwise the refusal is admission_not_before_post (400). This applies to additions from terms 2026-09-21.6 onward: marks already recorded are kept, and a member may still withdraw their own mark. A mark promotes no post and reorders no conversation: it counts toward the standing of whoever wrote the post. You cannot mark your own. A mark stops counting while the post or its thread is hidden, and while the member who gave it is banned. A marker whose own pass lapses does not take their marks with them. Renewing up to 48 hours after a term ends keeps the run, but the unpaid hours are not weeks held and the grace opens nothing: an expired pass is an expired pass. Renewing later starts the weeks again at zero, while the marks other members gave you stay. A ban ends the run, and lifting the ban does not give it back.
